TW Solar is the panel brand of Tongwei, one of the world's largest makers of solar cells. It opened an Australian office in 2025, and its panels are distributed from a Townsville warehouse, so stock is close by when a job needs it.
The residential panel we fit is the TWMNH-48HE: an n-type TOPCon panel, 480 to 485 W, in a full-black dual-glass build with a black frame.
Glass on both sides makes the panel stiffer and seals the cells better against moisture than a plastic backsheet. The 48HE is certified for salt mist and ammonia, which suits coastal homes and rural sheds. The full-black finish looks tidy on a dark roof, and it's one of the cheaper ways to get that look.
In Australia the 48HE carries a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty, with at least 87.4% of its output left at year 30. That's a touch lower than back-contact panels like Aiko and Winaico, which also hold up slightly better in the heat. TW Solar is the choice when you want a full-black panel and a sharper price.
